गुल मचाता मन को भाता, सुंदर मृगों का दल हो
उषा-काल की प्रथम किरन, खग-विहगों का कलरव हो
जग के शोर-शराबे का यह कितना अच्छा हल हो

चमकने दीजिये इन मोतियों, इन शशिकलाओं को
उठा के इनको, प्यार से हमको भी देखिये
इन झीलों में चलने दीजिये मेरे दिल की नावों को
इन मय के प्यालों को ज़रा छलकने दीजिये
ना झुकाइए शर्म से मद भरी निगाहों को
हमको बना लीजिए अपने कान का झुमका
कभी चूमेंगे गालों को कभी ज़ुल्फ़ों के सायों को
इस चाँद को ज़रा बादलों से बाहर निकालिये
पूनम बना दीजिये मेरी सब निशाओं को
